This game was Taylor-made for the Linsly Cadets.

Leading just by one point over the Fairland Dragons at halftime, Will Taylor drained four 3-pointers and scored 14 points as Linsly outscored the Dragons 28-15 to lead 58-44 as they went on to win 74-55 on Thursday at the annual Ironton Classic.

Linsly (4-0) was led by Taylor with 19 points including 5-of-7 from behind the arc. Jonah Vaysbakh got 14 points and D’arrae Goodwin scored 12.

Fairland (4-2) was paced by Brody Buchanan with 19 points with Chase Allen netting 15.

The Dragons played without starting forward Will Davis due to an ankle injury.

Allen scored 10 points and Buchanan 6 as Fairland took a 16-10 first quarter lead.

Vaysbakh hit a pair of 3s and scored 8 points as six different players scored and Linsly took a 30-29 halftime lead.

Noah Marcum hit a pair of 3-pointer in the quarter for the Dragons.

But then came the pivotal third quarter as Linsly opened up the double digit lead and went on for the win.
