Holiday Open House/Tour of Homes

Morning Pointe of Russell will be having a Holiday Open House/Tour of Homes from 2-4 p.m. There will also be a wreath auction and a dessert/hot chocolate bar.

Book signing

Author Thomas Dotson will be doing an in-store signing  at the Mustard Seed Christian Bookstore, located in the Charlie Creek Plaza at the intersection of U.S. 52 and Charlie Creek Road in South Point, signing copies of his book from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. His novel, “The Empty Chair,” is his heartfelt story of learning to trust the process of grief through the love of Christ. The Lawrence Township Trustees will meet at 4:15 p.m. at the Lawrence Township Volunteer Fire Department building.

South Point BOE Meeting

The South Point Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. in the South Point Board of Education Office.

Land Bank Meeting

The Lawrence County Land Bank will meet at noon at its office located 327 Vernon St., Ironton.

Environmental Fees Meeting

The Lawrence County Health Department’s Board of Health will meet at noon at 2122 S. Eighth St., Ironton. This meeting is open to the public for any questions regarding the Proposed 2020 Environmental fees that will change. Proposed fees can be viewed at www.lawcohd.org

Chesapeake Council

The Chesapeake village council will meet at 7 p.m. in a special session at village hall regarding the matter of filling a vacant council seat.

Veteran Meet and Greet

A Veteran Meet and Greet will take place from 6-8 p.m. at The Party Place, located at 206 S. 3rd St. in Ironton.

Rock Hill BOE

The Rock Hill Local School District will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Rock Hill Local School District board of education offices.

Appalachian Family and Children

The Appalachian Family and Children First Council will meet at 9 a.m. at the Ironton Fire Department, located at 526 South 4th St. The Finance Committee will be meeting at 8:30 am.
