Festival of Trees, Christmas Market
The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce’s Festival of Trees and Christmas Market will be at 216 Collins Ave., South Point, from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. It includes a live, drive-thru nativity, Christmas trees, local vendors selling gift items, live reindeer, visits with Santa Claus, Kids Day and trees designed by local schools and businesses. Follow traffic signs to enter the nativity.
Saturday

Nov. 30
Christmas Cabin
“Santa at the Christmas Cabin,” a fundraiser and celebration of fellowship, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Everything offered at the event is by donation and money raised from it is used to give back to those in the community in need. The cabin is located at the Wilson Family Farm, 14552 State Route 775, Willow Wood.
Santa at the Commons
The Concerned Citizens of Burlington will bring Santa and Mrs. Claus to Burlington Commons from 5-7 p.m.
Small Business Saturday
Shops in downtown Ironton and throughout the county will be taking part in Small Business Saturday.
Dec. 2
Ironton Christmas Parade
The Ironton Christmas Parade, organized by the Lions Club, will take place at 6 p.m. Line up will be at 5 p.m. at Second and Railroad streets.
Dec. 3
Chesapeake Tree Lighting
The Chesapeake Area Citizens Coalition will host the annual tree lighting in Triangle Park at 6 p.m.
Christmas Songs and Stories
John Berry will present his 23rd annual Christmas Songs and Stories tour at Ironton High School at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at www.johnberry.com.
Lights of Love
Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital will present the 36th installment of the Lights of Love celebration, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the hospital’s front entrance in Ashland. Visits with Santa will take place in the lobby at 5:30 p.m.
Dec. 7
People for the Point Christmas
People for the Point’s annual Christmas Extravaganza will be at South Point High School from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., featuring pancakes and pictures with Santa, a craft vendor area, a kids area and a showing of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer at 1 p.m. Breakfast is $5 per plate and free for those under five with a paying adult.
Historic Church Walk
The Lawrence County Museum’s Historic Church Walk, offering a tour of the city’s places of worship, will begin at 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Cider and cookies will be served at the museum for the final stop on the walk. Event is free and open to the public.
Dec. 8
Varsity Singers Concert
The Ironton High School Varsity Singers will host their annual Christmas concert, Christmas by Candlelight, in the school’s auditorium at 2 p.m.
White Christmas Sing-along
The Paramount Arts Center in Ashland will host an interactive sing-along during a screening of the 1954 film “White Christmas” at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15.
