Thanksgiving and Christmas are on the way, meaning it is the season to give unto others.

If the grocery store has cans of vegetables on sale, pick up a few extra and donate it to a food pantry. Find a giving tree and help a child or elderly adult by getting them what they really want for Christmas. And don’t forget our many local veterans who are in health care facilities. Many of them request nothing more than some new socks, new sweatpants or other clothing.

Throw some change or a couple of dollars in the red bucket of the Salvation Army.

The best gift we can give this season is just a little of what we have. So, let’s make it a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas for everyone.
