An Ironton man has died after a fight Wednesday morning in Ironton and the police are looking for James Wilson, as a person of interest in the case.

Around 9:23 a.m., the Ironton Police Department got a call about a fight at the corner of Ninth and Spruce streets.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man lying in the road with visible injuries. The man was transported to King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky, but died of his injuries.

The victim’s name has not been released yet. His body will be sent to Frankfort, Kentucky for an autopsy.

The police are seeking information about the whereabouts of Wilson.
