An Ironton native has been working to aid refugee families and received donations to his efforts from Lawrence Countians last week.
Maclean James is a case manager for US Together, based in the Cleveland area.
He said he works with refugees from a variety of countries, with many coming from Africa, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
On Wednesday, he was in town and collected boxes of toys donated by Ironton residents.
“These donations will help the children who are clients of my resettlement agency,” he said.
