Chesapeake grad to join MU cheer squad

Riley is seen during the signing ceremony with her father, Michael Riley, and her mother, Jill Stapleton, who coaches the school’s Panthers cheerleaders.

CHESAPEAKE — Chesapeake senior Kennedy Riley signed on May 21 to continue her education this fall at Marshall University as a member of the school’s cheerleading squad.
A substantial scholarship was part of the deal and family, friends and representatives of the MU cheering team were on hand for the ceremony held at the high school.
Being a Marshall cheerleader will open many opportunities for travel and to perform in some of the largest venues in the country and Riley plans to pursue a career in the medical field.
