COAL GROVE— This past Friday was National Caregivers Appreciation Day and, on Tuesday, All Ways Caring, formerly ResCare Home Care, in Coal Grove, celebrated its home caregivers.
“We’re celebrating caregiver appreciation and also the launch of our new name,” Kim Maynard, RN supervisor and branch manager of the Coal Grove facility, said.
While ResCare offers numerous services besides home care, such as adoption, youth services and more, only the home care portions of ResCare are changing over to All Ways.
“The name change is to differentiate the services that we provide,” Michelle Pratt, All Ways area manager for Ohio and West Virginia, said. “We do case management, pharmaceutical training and in-home assistance. We also do a lot with the Veterans Administration and assisting veterans with getting the services that they need.”
Pratt added that when All Ways services are sought, they are determined on a case-by-case basis.
“It depends on the individual’s needs and what they would need to maintain their independence,” she said. “We try to make it so that they can live independently with the help of our workers so they don’t have to go into a nursing facility or anything like that.”
On Tuesday, those who work as home health care workers for All Ways in Coal Grove were treated to appreciation certificates, new shirts with the new All Ways logo, food from Chick-fil-A and cake from Tipton’s Bakery in Ashland.
All Ways Caring in Coal Grove is located at 323 Marion Pike, Suite 4, Coal Grove. Anyone interested in receiving home services can call the office at 740-242-0990 for more information.
