ROME TOWNSHIP — Children and families attended a brunch with Santa and Mrs. Claus this past Saturday at the Wyngate at RiversEdge, the senior living community’s community event for the month of December.
“This was our fifth annual brunch with Santa,” Julie Poff, Wyngate activities coordinator, said. “We serve a free breakfast and Mrs. Claus will read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ to the children.”
In addition, each child received a free book and got to tell Santa Claus what they wanted for Christmas this year. There was also a table full of candy set up for the children to take home a few treats as well.
“This is something that I think the kids and our staff really enjoy,” Poff said. “And it’s a nice time of year to be able to give back to the community.”
