Yvonne DeKay School of Dance has a special holiday performance planned for this weekend.
The school will present “A Christmas of Giving,” an original story where Santa teaches his toy shop characters the true meaning of Christmas.
“Raggedy Ann and Andy eventually learn that toys and gifts will soon wear out, and the secret to the joy of Christmas is in the giving,” a news release from the school said. “Dancers perform the Nativity, sounding the message that the greatest gift of all was that first Christmas, when God sent his only son to be the savior of mankind.”
Dancers from ages 2- 18 years old will perform in what the school says will be an entertaining and moving story.
Performances will take place in Ironton High School’s auditorium. The show is open to the public and admission is $12.
Show times are Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
