Kittens and cats in need of a home are available through the Lawrence County Humane Society. The organization was set up at the Ironton City Center this past weekend during Small Business Saturday.
“There’s a short adoption application that you would have to fill out, and there’s a fee of $25, but all of the cats or kittens come fully vetted, meaning that they are spayed and neutered and come with their yearly vaccines,” Cathy Artis, a foster with the humane society, said. “If the kitten is still too young, they will come with a voucher to get them fully vetted.”
She added that kittens younger than 12 weeks, or weighing less than 3 lbs. are not able to be vetted until then, and will come with a voucher to get the needed procedures done.
Anyone interested in adopting a cat or kitten from the Lawrence County Humane Society should send a message to the organization’s Facebook page, Lawrence County Humane Society of Ohio. www.facebook.com/LawrenceCounty HumaneSociety.
