High Life is a rap and hip-hop movement of about 10 artists, producers and DJs from Ironton and the surrounding region, and the group’s fourth annual High Life Takeover is set for Friday and Saturday night at Ironton Elks Lodge 177.
The event will feature numerous acts on both nights, a Halloween costume contest with $100 awarded to the winning costume, and a raffle for a $100 cash prize.
Ironton rapper Mac Carter, who is part of the High Life movement, said that the event would also serve as a release party for the group’s first collaboration album.
Tickets are $10 each night at the door, or $15 for both nights. The show is also for those 18 years and older. VIP tickets are also available for $20 for those 21 years and older, which include admission both days, a free mixed drink, one raffle ticket for the $100 cash prize and a We Good Clothing T-Shirt.
Individual raffle tickets for the $100 cash prize will also be available for $1 each.
Doors open at 9 p.m. both days, and the event will run until about 1 a.m.
