SOUTH POINT — Lipstick anyone?
They say a tie is like kissing your sister, but it’s doubtful the Rock Hill Redmen and South Point Pointers were feeling amorous even about their girlfriends after Tuesday’s Ohio Valley Conference soccer game ended in a scoreless tie.
“Both teams had chances but the goalkeepers stepped up,” said Pointers’ coach Jeff Joy. “It was very slick on the turf (due to heavy rains) and both teams had trouble keeping possession.”
Rock Hill goalie Kaleb Kidd had six saves while the Pointers’ Jaylon Halfhill racked up 15.
The Redmen are now 1-0-1 overall while South Point is 0-0-1.
