Proceeds came from recent OSU tickets raffle
El Hasa Shriner Temple’s Hillbilly Clan 1 Outhouse 8 said they raised more than $4,300 from their recent raffle.
The group was selling tickets for a chance to win two Ohio State University football season passes.
The winning ticket was drawn in Columbus last week and the passes went to Colton Trego, of Dayton, who bought raffle tickets from the Dayton Kiwanis.
Seventy-nine clubs and organizations participated in the raffle. Over 17,000 tickets were sold, raising over $87,000 dollars for different charities.
The Hillbillies sold 1,436 tickets at events such as Hillbilly Day at Pick‘n Save and proceeds will go to Shriners Children’s hospitals and the efforts to transport children to the facilities in Cincinnati and Lexington, Kentucky.
