SOUTH POINT — South Point Storage and Park Avenue Real Estate are “complementary businesses” owned by Carlton and Mary Cogan.
South Point Storage has been in operation for 22 years. What started as place to rent storage units has transformed into a “one-stop shop for housing and moving essentials,” owner Mary Cogan said.
“Along with renting storage units, we sell moving supplies and are an authorized U-Haul Dealership,” Cogan said. “We can take CheckFree Pay, too, a bill payment system.”
CheckFree Pay can take payments from over 8,000 different vendors.
The Cogans opened South Point Storage when they “saw a need in the county for individual storage.”
“After self-storage, selling boxes and renting U-Haul trucks and trailers followed,” Cogan said. “They complemented each other.”
Last October, South Point Storage celebrated its 20th anniversary with U-Haul.
During its time with U-Haul, it has been recognized “multiple times” as a Top 100 Dealer in the United States and Canada.
“We have a knowledgeable and friendly staff that is ready to help,” Cogan said. “We are trained to know what you need to make your move as stress-free as possible.”
Park Avenue Real Estate is the apartment and house rental business.
“We always knew we wanted to have rental property,” Cogan said.
With 30 years of experience in rental properties, Cogan said “we take pride in the timely repair and maintenance of our properties.”
“I like being able to make our tenants happy by providing nice, affordable housing.”
With houses and apartments available in South Point and Ironton, there is “something for everyone.”
