Richard White

May 17, 1964 — June 10, 2018

Richard Dennis “Rick” White, 54, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at his residence. Mr. White was born May 17, 1964, in Lawrence County, the son of Noel Swain DePriest, of Pedro, and the late Richard Leo White. He is also survived by his wife, Christy (Horn) White, whom he married Feb. 22, 2013.
Richard was a graduate of Rock Hill High School, Class of 1982. He was a former manager for Super America and assistant manager of Fruth Pharmacy. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ironton.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rikki Lynn White; maternal grandparents, James and Veronica Swain; and paternal grandparents, Homer and Nell White.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Lowell DePriest, of Pedro; sister, Gretchen White, of Ironton; stepsister, Terri (John) Slater, of Jackson; stepbrother, Lowell Scott DePriest, of Ironton; stepsons, Colton Price, of Huntington, West Virginia, and Brayden Price, of Chesapeake; father-in-law, Russell Horn, of Huntington, West Virginia; and mother-in-law, Connie Horn, of Guyandotte, West Virginia. He is also survived by an uncle and several aunts, cousins and many friends.
Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ironton, with Fr. David Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Kermit Daniels Jr.

April 19, 1941 — June 10, 2018

Kermit Daniels Jr., 77, of Proctorville, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born April 19, 1941, in Willow Wood to the late Kermit and Ina Mae Callicoat Daniels.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Eric Daniels.
He is survived by his wife, Angelika Daniels; three sons, Steven Oliver Daniels, of Germany, Benjamin Daniels (Nadia Mousa), of Louisville, Kentucky, and James (Maria) Daniels, of Louisville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Olivia, Ronan, Ava, Charli and Jamie Daniels; two brothers, Billy (Sharon) Daniels, of Linville, and Bobby (Irene) Daniels, of Scottown; one sister, Gail (James) Workman, of Proctorville; and several nieces and nephews.
Kermit retired from Special Metals as a system engineer. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Proctorville VFW Post #6878, American Legion and AM VETS. He was also a Scottish Rite Mason Valley of Cincinnati and a member of Crown City Lodge #536 F&AM.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Proctorville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Symmes Valley Veterans Honor Guard and Masonic services will be conducted.
