PINE GROVE — And the winners were Pat, Pat, Pat and…Joyce?
While Pat Riggs won two events and Pat Lambert another, Joyce Lewis broke up the run of winners named Pat with her own event win during last week’s Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association outing at the Ironton Country Club.
Shirley Gleim served as hostess and served breakfast treats before announcing the day’s golfing events.
The group then made its way to the course and when the clubs had stopped swinging, Gleim announced the winners that included Riggs, Lambert and Lewis.
As for next week, due to the hot weather the group will meet at 9 a.m. each Tuesday for a brief business meeting followed by golfing events at 9:30.
Lewis will serve as next week’s hostess.
The handicap tournament will continue throughout the summer months.
Anyone interested in joining the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association is welcome and women do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the group.
