PEDRO — The Chesapeake Lady Panthers were involved in pitcher’s duels the last two games.
Not Thursday.
The Rock Hill Redwomen outscored the Lady Panthers 18-16 in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
Rock Hill racked up 18 hits led by Rileigh Morris who was 3-5 with a double and run batted in and Haleigh Rowe went 2-2 with a double and five RBI.
Keilie Adams 3-4 and an RBI, Taylor Hall who was 3-4 with an RBI and Sam Stamper who was 3-4 with a double and two RBI.
Chesapeake had 11 hits and took advantage of eight Rock Hill errors.
Jordan Storms was 2-5 with a home run and two RBI and Brooke Webb 1-4 with a home run and two RBI.
Katie Spears was 2-5, Riley Swann 2-4 with an RBI, and Rachel Pratt 2-4 and an RBI.
After Chesapeake got a run in the top of the first inning, Rock Hill exploded for 14 runs in the bottom of the inning.
The Lady Panthers clawed their way to within 15-13 in the top of the fifth, but the Redwomen scored three in the bottom of the fifth to lead 18-13.
Chesapeake got the three runs back in the sixth only to have Rock Hill reliever Kylee Howard shut them down in the seventh to preserve the win.
Chesapeake visits Gallipolis on Friday.
