SOUTH POINT — The South Point Police Department will be conducting a concealed carry weapon class on Saturday, May 5.

The course will be offered at the police station, beginning at 9 a.m.

Cost is $60 and participants are asked to bring ammunition for their gun.

If they do not have a gun, the department has several available for use.

The class is eight hours long, as required by Ohio law, and will break for lunch.

Participants are asked, when they arrive at the station for the class, to leave their guns and ammunition in the car and not bring them in.
