Owner says closure may not be permanent

Frogtown USA, a staple in the Ironton community, announced on Monday that it was closing its doors, at least for the time being.

“It is with great sadness today that we must report to our loyal customers that Frogtown has closed its doors; not saying this is permanent, but for the time being, we are closed,” a post to the business’ Facebook page Monday evening said. “The winter has been hard on us this year, and we have tried very hard to stay afloat. Thank you to everyone who has come in and supported us over the years. Seventeen years we have been here. Not sure what the future will hold for us at this time.”

The business served as a gathering place for the motorcycle community and others alike, and provided numerous events, poker runs and live music entertainment throughout the years. It was also a focal point in Ironton during the Friends of Ironton’s annual Rally on the River.

“Thank you all so very much,” the Facebook post stated. “Much love to all of you and you bikers, be safe out there.”
