WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — Connor Burchfield scored 30 points on a program-record 10 3-pointers, Nathan Knight had 31 points and 12 rebounds, and William & Mary beat Marshall 114-104 on Wednesday night.
Burchfield was 10 of 12 from distance as the Tribe made 18 of 28 (64 percent) in the highest scoring game at Kaplan Arena.
David Cohn added 20 points and a career-high 13 assists for William & Mary (4-2). Matt Milon made three 3s and scored 15 points, Justin Pierce had 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Jon Elmore had 32 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists to set a conference record for Marshall (4-3). He became the double-double leader in Conference USA history for points and assists with 10, topping Marquette guard Travis Diener. C.J. Burks added 27 points, Jarrod West made six 3-pointers and scored 22 points, and Ajdin Penava had 13 points and six rebounds.
