Randall Skelton

Feb. 2, 1955 — Nov. 20, 2017

Randall Dale Skelton, 62, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2017 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. He was born Feb. 2, 1955, in Springfield, to the late Alfred Milton and Emma Louise Harrison Skelton. He is survived by his wife, Teena Rattray Skelton, whom he married January 1, 2001.
Randall graduated from Symmes Valley High School in 1974 and immediately joined the U.S. Army, where he spent the next six years. After the army, Randy spent long hours building motorcycles and fishing with buddies, long-haul truck driving across country, and making friends and family smile with his woodworking skills by building them big and small gifts.
His favorite past-times were spending time with his family, including his children, grandchildren and three dogs, cooking great meals and tinkering with trains. With his Christian faith, his favorite holiday was Christmas, where he would decorate and celebrate as much as he could.
Randy and his wife, Teena, have shared a great love for dogs and fell in love with Tia Torres and the care she does with pitbulls and her rescue center. Their wishes for any love gifts would be to mail them to Villalobos Rescue Center. The address to Villalobos Rescue Center is: Tia Torres, C/O Villalobos Rescue Center, 4525 N. Claiborne Ave., New Orleans, LA 70117
As Randy was loved by many and spread far and wide, the family has decided that a celebration of life memorial will take place as a Christmas in July on Saturday, July 21, 2018.
Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, is assisting the family with the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
