Drugs, CCS violations pack court docket

Several cases were heard this week in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday.
• Timothy Powell, 47, of 227 County Road 407, South Point, admitted community-controlled sanctions (CCS) violations. Judge Charles Cooper set sentencing for Nov. 1.
• Wade Thornsberry, 46, of 144 Saddle Drive, Raceland, Kentucky, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin, a felony of the fifth-degree. He was eligible for treatment in lieu of conviction, and Judge Cooper ordered him to complete treatment at a facility still to be determined.
• Jennifer Fender, 36, of 11948 E. 13 Mile Road, Apt. 204, Warren, Michigan, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, a third-degree felony. Judge Cooper set sentencing for a later date.
• Phillip Angeron, 32, of 522 Sixth Street, Huntington, West Virginia, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony. He was eligible for treatment in lieu of conviction, and Judge Andy Ballard ordered him to complete treatment at Mended Reeds and 200 hours community service.
• Alton J. Day, 26, of 156 Township Road 1079, Chesapeake, admitted CCS violations. Judge Ballard sentenced him to 20 months in prison with credit for time served and ordered him to pay $650 in restitution.
• Chadra Mobley, 31, of 609 Buckhorn Street, Ironton, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. Judge Ballard sentenced her to six months in jail with credit for time served, and one year CCS.
• Joseph Stoneroad, 39, of 2018 S. Third Street, Ironton, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin, a felony of the fifth-degree, and possession of drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor. Judge Ballard sentenced him to four years CCS under intensive supervised probation (ISP) with 11 months reserved, and ordered him to complete treatment at Riverside Recovery Services and complete 200 hours community service.
• Nathaniel C. Walsh, 33, of 71 Private Drive 65, Township Road 287, Chesapeake, pleaded guilty to three counts trafficking in heroin, all fifth-degree felonies. Judge Ballard sentenced him to four years CCS under ISP with 22 months reserved, and ordered him to complete the STAR program, 200 hours community service and pay court costs.
• Rhonda Littlejohn, 45, of 33 Township Road 616, South Point, pleaded not guilty to failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Judge Ballard set bond at $150,000 cash or surety and $150,000 OR.
