Patsy Jo Miller

Feb. 27, 1935 — Oct. 11, 2017

Patsy Jo “Pat” Miller, 82, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at her residence. The Lawrence County native was born Feb. 27, 1935, a daughter of the late Otha “Dick” Lee and Sara Mae Miller Ruth.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James “Jim” Leo Miller, whom she married Feb. 11, 1956.
Mrs. Miller was a 1954 graduate of Ironton High School and a retired office manager for the Bellefonte Cancer Center. Mrs. Miller was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and loved to sew and spend time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Miller.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Caldwell and Cathy (Dan) Cremeans, both of Ironton, and Deanna “Dee” (Darren) Berger, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; two sons, Jim  Miller, of Ironton, and Bob (Lillian) Miller, of Toledo. She was Mimi to 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be noon Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father David Huffman officiating. Visitation will also be at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday, with the Rosary beginning at 11:40 a.m. Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Sheena Nicole Hatfield, 27, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017. A celebration of life in her memory will be 5 p.m. today at Harris Riverfront Park, Huntington, West Virginia. Mackey Akley

Mackey Doc Akley, 91, of Chesapeake, formerly of Kenova, West Virginia, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at home. He is survived by his wife, Manya Akley. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
