Kenneth Glendon Morrison
Jan. 27, 1944 – July 21, 2017
Kenneth Glendon Morrison, 73, of Coal Grove, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at Community Hospice, Ashland, Kentucky.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen Barnhart Morrison, whom he married Aug. 30, 1965. Kenneth was the son of the late Kenneth Morrison and Nellie Barker Hunt. He retired after 47 years at Motor Parts in Ironton.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Tilden Hunt, whom raised him, and a brother, Tilden Hunt, Jr.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Morrison III, of Coal Grove; three daughters, Tammy (Allen) Friend, of Ironton, Lisa (William) Willis, of Ironton, and Lori (John) Tickle of Ironton; six grandchildren, Ashley (Nathan) Colegrove, of Ironton, Megan (Aaron) Hanshaw, of Ironton, Derek Little, of Ashland, Kentucky, Shayla Perkins, of Ironton, Nikki Viars, of Ironton and Ronald Viars II, of Ironton; five great grandchildren, Jonesy Colegrove (His Little Buddy), Ara Colegrove (Sissy), Jenny Friend (Punk), Teddy Reynolds and Tinley Reynolds; two brothers, John Morrison of Baltimore, Maryland, and Willard Hunt, of Virginia; and three sisters, Ertha Crockett, of Romney, West Virginia, Retha Shaw, of Baltimore, Maryland, and Roxie Scruggs of Romney, West Virginia.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Rev. Dale Knipp and Pastor Roger Friend officiating.
Burial will follow in Community Cemetery, Ironton. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
Anthony Gwinn Bland
December 13, 1965 – July 21, 2017
Anthony Gwinn Bland, 51, of Ironton passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. The Ashland native was born December 13, 1965, a son to David Bland of Greenup County, Kentucky, and Linda (Keeton) Neal of Ironton. Anthony was preceded in death by his step-dad, Robert Neal. Mr. Bland attended Ironton Schools.
In addition to his parents, Anthony is survived by a sister, Sherri (Sean) White of Ironton; two nephews, Derrick White of Proctorville and Sean White, Jr. of Ironton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his step-dad, Anthony was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Leslie and Della Keeton

Betty Chastian, 81, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.
