CHESAPEAKE — A special meeting of Chesapeake council, which was scheduled for Monday was canceled.

While no notice was issued publicly, a note posted on the door of village hall that evening stated the meeting, which was announced last week, was not taking place.

Council member Paul Hart said on Tuesday that the meeting would likely be rescheduled to take place before the next regular meeting of council, which is set for Aug. 7.
