School district commended for ‘clean’ report
COAL GROVE — Ohio Auditor of State Dave Yost recently recognized Dawson-Bryant Local School District Treasurer, Brad Miller, for “excellence in financial reporting” with their Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for fiscal year 2016.
The Auditor of State Award with Distinction is presented to local governments and school districts following the completion of financial audits where there are no issues with the timeliness of filing the financial report, and there are no findings for recovery, citations, weaknesses, or significant deficiencies. The management letter must also be free of comments related to ethics referrals, questioned costs under $10,000, findings for recovery under $100, reconciliation, or public meetings or records.
“Clean and accurate record-keeping are the foundation for good government,” said Yost in his letter to Miller, “and the taxpayers can take pride in your commitment to accountability.”
