ILL registration
deadline set May 19
The Ironton Little League registration deadline for junior and senior baseball and softball divisions is Friday, May 19.
Registration forms are available at Ironton middle and high schools, St. Joseph High School and the little league ball park concession stand.
Registration fees are $40 for the first child, $20 for a second child and $10 for each additional child.
Registration forms can be returned to the school administrator or at the concession stand to a league board member on duty.

SV girls’ basketball
plans golf scramble
The Symmes Valley Lady Vikings’ basketball team will be  conducting a two-man golf scramble on Sunday, May 21, at the Oaks Country Club in Flatwoods, Ky.
Fee is $55 per person or $110 per team. Meals and drinks will be provided.
First and second place awards will be presented.

Youth all-star
basketball camp set
The Chris Ball boys and girls youth All-Star Basketball Camp will be held May 31 to June 1 at the Ceredo-Kenova Community Center.
The camp for ages 4-8 will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. while the camp for ages 9-13 will be from noon to 2 p.m.

Saturday in Huntington
A men’s slowpitch softball tournament will be held Saturday in Huntington, W.Va.
This is a hit your own .44 core 400lb compression or less with a 3 hr and one up format and the tournament is 3gg.
No Thunder Advance or Outlaw balls.
The fee is $150.00. Winners and runner-up teams will receive a trophy.

Ironton girls’ youth
basketball camp set
The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ basketball camp for grades 3-9 as of the fall of 2017. The camp is open to all school districts and will be from 12:30-to-3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, June 5-8, at the Ironton High School Conley Sports Center.
Each camper will receive a cold beverage each day and a T-shirt at the end of the camp.
Early registration is suggested in order to get proper sizes for the T-shirts.
Camp fee is $25 and checks should be made payable to: Ironton H.S. Athletic Dept.
An application form is provided online at the school site. Complete the registration form and list any medical problems or needs. There is a waiver form that needs to be signed as well.

Fairland girls youth
fall league planned
A six-week Fairland girls’ fall basketball camp will be held starting Sept. 5 for youths entering grades 1-7 for the 2017-18 school year.
Practices will be held at Fairland West and games played at the high school. Divisions are: 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6.
The league is open to any girls in the tri-state.
