CHESAPEAKE — Chesapeake interim police chief Randy Lewis says that T-shirts are now on sale to help raise funds for equipment for the department.
The shirts, which cost $20 each, are on sale at village hall and feature the American flag and the department name on the front and the slogan “Taking back Chesapeke” on the back.
A few people could be seen wearing the shirts at Monday’s meeting of village council, including council member Randy Penix.
Lewis, who has served as interim chief since last fall, said the department is also planning a gun raffle fundraiser in the near future to buy equipment.
He said the department has also established a new Facebook page to keep residents up to date, which can be found at https://www.facebook.co/ChesapeakeOhioPoliceDepartment.
