Heath Gore

Jan. 26, 1983 — Oct. 30, 2016

Mathew Heath Gore, 33, of Coal Grove, passed away on Oct. 30, 2016, in Clinton Township, Michigan. Heath was born Jan. 26, 1983, to Terry Gore, of Coal Grove, and Tamara Sparks Spitz, of Clinton Township, Michigan.
Heath was a 2002 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School in Coal Grove. He loved the Cincinnati Reds baseball, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame football, and wrestling.  He also loved online gaming with his buddies.
Heath was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arlie Sparks, of Ashland, Kentucky; uncle, Larry Gore, of Kitts Hill; uncle, Clifford Anthony Gore (Tony), of Coal Grove; and cousin, Nicole “Nikki” Gore, of Kitts Hill.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Clifford Gore and Donna Mae Gore, both of Kitts Hill; a sister, Tabitha Ann Valentine, of Coal Grove; a brother, Shawn Michael Whitt, of Deering; his maternal grandmother, Marcella Hughes and Jim Hughes, of Deering; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Heath will be so sadly missed by them all.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with his uncle the Rev. Mike Wirzfeld officiating. James Norris, 89, of Proctorville, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Pat Norris.
