Twyla Glazier

July 12, 1940 — Oct. 10, 2016

Twyla “Hope” Glazier, 76, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at the Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. The Lawrence County native was born July 12, 1940, a daughter of the late Earl and Martha Fradd Caulley.
Mrs. Glazier was a graduate of Waterloo High School and a homemaker. She attended the Faith Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Benjamin Miller; her second husband, James Glazier; and her brothers and sisters, Francis Caulley, Phyllis Lester, Earl Caulley, Rodney Caulley,  Glennie Caulley and Gary Caulley.
She is survived by a son, Shawn Miller, of Ironton; two grandchildren, Rachael Miller and Ben Miller; two brothers, Wayne (Sally) Caulley, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Homer (Jeanette) Caulley, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and a sister, Reatha Woods, of Washington Courthouse.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Donald Edwards

Jan. 9, 1930 — Oct. 12, 2016

Donald L. Edwards, 86, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Woodland Oaks Nursing Home in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born Jan. 9, 1930, a son of the late Edward David “Chick” and Lona (Holschuh) Edwards. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lovetta Charlene (Smith) Edwards, who passed away Nov. 21, 2003.
Mr. Edwards was a 1948 graduate of Ironton High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was the former president of PNC Bank, formerly known as National City Bank, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Ironton. Mr. Edwards was the first president of the Lawrence County Economical Development Corporation, he was a past president of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and the Ironton Rotary Club, a former board member of Briggs Lawrence County Library and was a volunteer for Community Hospice. He was also proud to be involved with various other organizations in the community.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by son, Charles “David” Edwards; and brother, John Edwards.
He is survived by brother, E.C. (Patsy) Edwards, of Seattle, Washington; sister, Nancy (Glenn) Bazell, of Torrance, California; two sisters-in-law, Nadine (Smith) Malone, of Coal Grove, and Sarah Edwards, of Zanesville; seven nieces, Amy Webb, Kathy Edwards, Emily Freeland, Sue Castillo, Barb Taylor, Patty Heath and Suzy Malone; four nephews, Bill Edwards, Dan Edwards, Eddie Edwards and John Edwards; and friend, Rod DePriest.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, with pastor Eric Barnes officiating. No visitation will be observed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don’s name to First Baptist Church, 304 N. Linda Eplion

Linda Lee LaFon Eplion, 72, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at home. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Carol Duncan

Carol Jean Duncan, 74, of Milton, West Virginia, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Duncan. There will be a memorial service at a later date. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is in charge of arrangements.
