Lois Gordon
Dec. 27, 1927 — Sept. 1, 2016
Lois Marie Gordon, 88, of Coal Grove, passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, in Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland. Mrs. Gordon was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Garrison, Kentucky, a daughter to the late Charles and Linnie (Skaggs) Evans.
Mrs. Gordon was a graduate of Garrison High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Mrs. Gordon enjoyed sewing and quilting. When it came to her flowers, Lois had a green thumb and loved the outdoors. She cared very much for her family and loved spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant daughter, Judy Fannin.
She is survived by three daughters, Margie (Forrest) Holbrook, of Ashland, Caroline Murphy, of Waldorf, Maryland, and Linda (John) Roach, of Ironton; son, Carl Fannin, of South Shore, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Garrison Cemetery in Garrison. Charles Waller

Charles Franklin Waller, 66, of Ironton, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, at King’s Daughter’s Hospital. He was born Oct. 18, 1949, the son of the late Wyburn and Rose Malone Waller. He was the husband of Diane Carmon Waller.
He retired from Gallaher Printing, he was a member of Lawrence County Bow Hunters Association and he was of Baptist faith. He was preceded by two brothers, Earl and Calvin Waller. Survivors, including his wife, are his son, Charles Hunter (Chuckie) Waller; four sisters, Erma Morgan, Martie McGraw, Christy Wilson and Sharon Grimes.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home. A committal service will be noon in Ice Creek cemetery on Saturday with pastor Mike Triplett Officiating.
Robert Stewart
Robert “Candyman” David Stewart, 64, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. He is survived by his wife, Paula Davis Stewart, of Huntington. A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Saturday at New Baptist Church, 210 28th St., Huntington, with pastor Trent Eastman officiating.
