Charles Legg Jr.
Oct. 5, 1948 — July 22, 2016
Charles R. Legg Jr., 67, of Ironton, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Lawrence County native was born Oct. 5, 1948, in Frankfort, Indiana. He was the son of the late Charles R. Legg, Sr. and JoAnn (Mounts) Legg.
Charles was a 1966 Graduate of Rock Hill High School. He was Pipefitter and Crane Operator for Ashland Marathon for 38 years where he retired in 2006. Mr. Legg was also an Army Veteran, serving his tour in Vietnam.
He is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Mark) Stamper, of Ironton; a grandson, Craig (Stephanie) Stamper, of Ironton; a granddaughter, Courtney Stamper, of Georgetown, Kentucky; a great-grandson, Easton Stamper, of Ironton; step-grandchildren, Makayla Collins and Briden Kellogg, of Ironton; a stepdaughter, Ginny (Aaron) Taylor, of Ironton; step-grandchildren, Brynn, Nathaniel and Logan Taylor, all of Ironton; a girlfriend, Carol Colton, of Kitts Hill; two sisters, Patricia Legg and Sharon Baker; and a brother, Mark Legg.

Deloris Craig
July 29, 1938 — July 25, 2016
Deloris J. Craig, 77, of Ironton, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. The Lancaster native was born July 29, 1938, a daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn Bowling Beckley.
Deloris attended the West Side School and was a former employee for a nursing home in Lancaster, retiring in 1967. She was also a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Vance Young; a daughter, Carolyn Sue Smith; a grandson; two sisters, Debbie Beckley Myers and Frances Cumbo; and two brothers, Eldon Beckley and Don Beckley.
She is survived by three sons, Michael Smith, of Jackson, and Kevin Craig and Jamie Craig, both of Willow Wood; her ex-husband, Floyd Craig, of Willow Wood; a brother, Paul Beckley; two sisters, Barbara Braden and Shirley Smith; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be noon Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Darrell Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Watt Johnson
Oct. 23, 1956 — July 28, 2016
Watt Adam Johnson, 59, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016, at his residence. The Ironton native was born Oct. 23, 1956, a son of the late Paul and Ella Blair Johnson.
Watt was a 1975 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a former employee of Hill’s Department Store and Walmart. He was a member of the Eagles and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Johnson, Phillip Johnson and John Johnson; and a daughter, Virginia Akers.
He is survived by his fiancé, Janet Nieves, of Ironton; a brother, Paul (Linda) Johnson, of Ironton; a niece, Terri Johnson; two nephews, Ricky Johnson and Josh Stapleton; two stepdaughters, Chandra Akers and Holly Gibbs; a stepdaughter, Chandra Akers and Holly Gibbs; a stepson, Jason Akers; and a grandson, Lorenzo Akers.

Kohn Whitley
Kohn Thacker Whitley, 93, of Chesapeake, died Friday, July 29, 2016, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Nancy Craft
Dec. 27, 1944 — July 28, 2016
Nancy Jane ‘Miss Nancy’ Craft, 71, of Logan, departed this life on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Charleston Memorial. Born Dec. 27, 1944, in Ironton, she was the daughter of the late John B. “Jack” and Frances Ash Moran. Also preceding her in death include a sister, Jackie Moran Gipson Coon; special uncle and aunt, Dr. Vallee and Jayne Blagg; and her fur baby, Kobie.
Nancy was a former City of Logan Clerk and she worked also at Silverbrand Clothing. She was a member of the Logan Church of the Nazarene since 1975, she served in the Sunday School Department, Ladies Ministries, the Missionary Department, and as the Prayer Chain Captain. “Miss Nancy” was also the longtime director for the Kiddie Kollege Day Care for her church. Most recently she was the vice president of the Ladies Auxiliary at Logan Regional Medical Center. Nancy loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mom, mamaw, daughter, sister and aunt. Throughout her life, she was a great friend and listener to many. She would be humbled by all the concern and prayers throughout her recent hospital stay.
She is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 51 years, Bob Craft; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carrol Craft, of Logan; grandchildren, Dakota Jackson, Hannah Robison and Willis Hayes; one sister, Cindy (Mark) Odekirk, of Augusta, Georgia; brother-in-law, Russell (Sue) Craft, of Okeechobee, Florida; sisters-in-law, Janet Craft, of Logan, and Peggy Carey, of Garfield Heights; and many special and dear nephews and nieces, with a host of other relatives and good friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Logan Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. John Anderson and Larry Cale officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Logan Church of the Nazarene.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Logan Church of the Nazarene General Fund, the Ladies Ministry of the church, or to a favorite charity of your choice.

Samuel Eldridge
Jan. 21, 1971 — July 27, 2016
Samuel Edward Eldridge, 45, of Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
He was born Jan. 21, 1971, a son of Ruth Eldridge at home and the late Howard Wayne Eldridge Sr. He was a member of the Minford Class of 1990. Sam was a carpenter by trade who loved to hunt, fish, work on cars and had a love of dogs. He was formerly employed with Taylor Lumber and Appalachian Hard Wood Floors and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his dad, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Lynn Hollin.
In addition to his mom, he is survived by two sons, Bruce Tackett and Chris Hamilton; two brothers, Howard Wayne Eldridge Jr. and Ricky Joe Eldridge; six sisters, Donna K. (Eugene Dee) Russell, Tammie Lee (Kenneth “Penrod” Jiles Jr.), Brenda (Tim) Goodman, Judy Robinette, Joyce (Charles) Skaggs and Courtney Eldridge; four grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Brown Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Aldridge officiating. He will be laid to rest with his dad in the Batterson Cemetery in Minford.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Brown Funeral Chapel in Ironton.
