An undisclosed amount of money was taken in a Tuesday night robbery at a Rich Oil Station.
At 10 p.m. at the station at 727 S. Third St., a white male came into the store brandishing a knife, according to Ironton Police Detective Joe Ross.
“He advised the clerk to give him money and she would not be hurt,” Ross said.
The man was wearing a black hoodie and a black bandana across his face. He is between 5-foot-9 to 6 feet weighing approximately 180 pounds. He had a stocky build.
He also took other items from the store.
Anyone who has any information can contact the detective at 740-532-5606.
“You can remain anonymous and leave a tip,” Ross said.
This is the second time in six months that the station has been robbed.
“It has become a problem with drugs in town,” he said. “That is why we are reaching out to the community to solve some of these crimes before anyone innocent gets hurt.”
