Self-taught photographer Angie Albright, of Proctorville, can’t really remember when she didn’t have a camera.
“I have always had an interest in photography, even as a kid,” she said.
Now a collection of her work, both current and dating back six years ago, makes up an exhibit at Ohio University Southern-Proctorville Center. The show will be up through July 20.
“It is a work in progress,” Albright said. “Most of my work is nature photography and I like macro as well.”
This is the second show for the medical technologist at St Mary’s Medical Center.
“I like to see things that people walk by and don’t see,” she said.
Many of her photographs are the result of hiking or fishing trips she takes with her husband.
“I hope the show makes people stop when they are walking around and see God’s beauty,” she said. “You don’t have to go to faraway places. Beauty is all around.”
