Two arrested in South Point drug investigation

SOUTH POINT — Two men were taken into custody Monday, after South Point police said they sold drugs to undercover officers.
According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, officers conducted a buy bust on the parking lot of Foodfair, where they attempted to purchase bulk amounts of cocaine.
Police said other individuals are under investigation and that charges of trafficking, possession of cocaine and complicity are pending.
The names of the two individuals taken into custody were not released and calls to the police department went unanswered as of press time today.
