Result of 2 week investigation

SOUTH POINT — Three people were detained following the execution of a narcotics search warrant on Roberts Street on Sunday.

Police Chief Chris Mahjer said an investigation has been going on over the past two weeks leading to the warrant at 103 Roberts St.

“We’ve been building a case,” he said.

Mahjer said that officers found miscellaneous items in their search, carried out at about 6 p.m., and that the three individuals were detained as a result.

Police are not releasing the names of the suspects, until charges are made, which Mahjer said should be coming shortly.
