HECLA — Customers of the Hecla Water Association in the Bradrick area under a boil water advisory Thursday, following slip along State Route 243.

Tony Howard, general manager for the water system, said the leak, as a result of the slip, occurred late Wednesday night.

Crews were working on a temporary fix to the problem and a boil water advisory was expected to be in effect until 9 a.m. Friday, pending the return of a water sample and test.

Howard said the water association would be going back sometime next week to put in place a permanent fix to the issue.
