Owner of Ironton travel agency Travel Dreamz, travel agent Pam Ross was named to Outside Agents’ Top 30 travel agents for the month of December.

Outside Agents is a host agency that affiliates with thousands of home-based travel agents throughout the country. Each month’s top 30 is based on bookings submitted for the given month, which is calculated on total commission. For December, more than $4,700 was required to make the list.

“I never ever thought even in 10 years I would make that list,” Ross, who ranked No. 20 on the list, said. “I sold a lot of travel in December which is great because it’s usually a slow month.”

Ross opened Travel Dreamz about 14 months ago and said her business has grown a lot since opening. She also attributed much of her success to the efforts to grow downtown Ironton through economic development.

“I live in South Point, but I chose to make my office in Ironton because I saw that it could grow,” Ross said. “It’s amazing to be in such a small market, but still be able to compete with thousands of other travel agents in much bigger markets. I’m very appreciative to the people in this area, who have been very supportive.”
