More than 120 new jobs are set to come to Ironton over the next two years.

Liebert Corporation announced this week that they plan to begin hiring hourly workers for their plant, located on South Ninth Street.

Mark Polzin, a spokesman for parent company Emerson Network Power, said the positions are due to the addition of a line of cooling products by the company.

Polzin said the process of hiring is under way and will continue through late 2017.

“Once jobs become available, people can find them through Ironton Workforce,” he said.

Liebert, based out of Columbus, is a manufacturer of power, cooling and infrastructure management systems for mainframe computer, server racks, and process systems.

Ironton Mayor Katrina Keith greeted the announcement.

“I’m thrilled to death that they’re investing in the city of Ironton and providing opportunity for our people to gain employment,” she said. “I’m excited for the future.”
