Pick ’n Save provides for the Ironton City Mission; still time to donate
Ironton Pick ’n Save’s Gift of Hope project is offering the community two ways to help needy families have a better Christmas holiday.
The project, which continues through Sunday, consists of customers being able to donate non-perishable food items for the Ironton City Mission by placing the items in bins located at the store, or purchasing a coupon for $1, $3 or $5, which will all be totaled at the end with Pick ’n Save writing a check to the mission for the final amount.
“The store is also donating 2,084 cans of vegetables to mission,” store manager Chuck Donohoo said.
Pastor Jeff Cremeans, of the Ironton City Mission Church, said more than 500 families have registered to receive food through the project.
“It’s tremendous,” Cremeans said of Pick ’n Save’s Gift of Hope project. “It’s going to make a big impact on families for Christmas.”
