PROCTORVILLE – Hospice of Huntington and the Wyngate at RiversEdge are teaming up to host an event to honor veterans Lawrence County veterans.

A ceremony will be held at the Wyngate on Nov. 11 from 1 to 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public, Bryan Gilpin, director of communications for Hospice, said.

“We will be honoring veterans, not just those at the Wyngate, but throughout Lawrence County,” he said.

Representatives from U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson, R-Ohio, will be on hand, as well an honor guard from the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the USA.

The event will be held rain or shine and light refreshments will be offered after the ceremony.
