30 microbrewers and distributors to attend
The Friends of Ironton will host its first Blood and Brews craft beer fest for Halloween on Saturday in the parking lot across from the Transit Café, which will go along with the last day of Dr. Dekay’s House of Screams at the Ro-Na.
“The craft beer fest in April was so successful, the Friends of Ironton decided to include it in the package of events for October,” Billy Bruce, with the Friends of Ironton, said. “About 30 microbrewers and distributors from multiple states will be present displaying craft beers.”
One of the breweries that will be represented is northeast Ohio’s The Brew Kettle, of Strongsville, which will have a keg trailer with specialty beers on draft.
“We hope to see a crowd and begin building a Halloween tradition with the Blood and Brews craft beer fest,” Bruce said.
Tickets for the fest are $35 and can be purchased at www.irontober.com or at the door. Tasting tickets are included and additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase. The beer fest will be open from 6-10 p.m., while the haunted house at the Ro-Na will have its normal hours from 8 p.m.-1 a.m.
