Lady Tigers get VB win

COAL GROVE — Talk about consistency.
The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers were a model of consistency as they posted an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball win over the Coal Grove Lady Hornets on Tuesday by almost identical scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-14.
D’Laynie Keith and Jordan Hannan turned in key performances for the Lady Fighting Tigers. Keith had 19 points and Hannan 18.
Kenzie Cremeens added 6 points and Zakia Lee 5 points.
Lexie Wise knocked down16 kills, Hannan and Alyssa Lewis combined for 24 assists.
Taylor Dillon led Coal Grove with 10 points.
In the reserve game, Ironton won 26-24, 25-16 as Shay Cox had 14 points, Haleigh Rowe 9, and Jordyn Koerper and Aley Carmon 5 each.
Ironton hosts Gallipolis — ranked 15th in the coach Division II poll — at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday and visits Portsmouth on Thursday in league games.
