OSU charging hefty price for parking pass

COLUMBUS (AP) — Ohio State is enforcing the requirement that holders of football season parking passes provide a hefty donation to receive the pass.
The permit holders must contribute to the President’s Club by the end of this year or the Buckeye Club by Feb. 1, 2016, if they want to keep their parking benefit next season.
The Dayton Daily News reports the donations are $3,000 or $5,000 depending on the parking lot, on top of the $375 annual parking fee.
Jordan Birkemeier, director of the Buckeye Club for Ohio State Athletics, says the donation requirements have been in place for a decade or more but audits found gaps in participation.
Joe Redman of suburban Columbus, a season ticket holder since 1980, said the required donation is too steep.
