The Ironton and South Point police departments recently swore in new police officers to join the departments.

Steve Breeding joins the Ironton Police Department after spending time with the South Point Police Department, while Bobby Borders replaces Breeding at the South Point Police Department.

“Steve has nearly a year experience already with the South Point Police Department, which is a plus of course. He’s been involved with several drug arrests there,” Ironton Police Chief Dan Johnson said. “He was highly recommended by officers who have worked with him. I think he’ll be a fine addition and I think he’ll do just fine.”

Borders joins the South Point Police Department after graduating from the Police Academy last month. He is a 2013 graduate of South Point High School and an Army Reservist.
