Pamela Pancake

Jan. 30, 1956—May 7, 2015

Pamela (Pam) Pancake, 59, of Ironton passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones. The Lawrence County native was born Jan. 30, 1956, the daughter of Ralph (Nancy) Estes and the late Gloria (Curtis) Johnson. She is survived by her husband John Pancake, whom she married May 21, 1983.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Lee Estes.

Mrs. Pancake attended Ironton and Rock Hill Schools. She was employed at Tri-Sate Industries for 19 years where she loved her co-workers and especially the clients. She felt all of them were part of her family.

In addition to her husband and father she is survived by two sons, Larry (Anne) Dickess and J.D. (Debra) Pancake, both of Ironton; a daughter, Missy (Jeremy) Davidson of Ironton; nine grandchildren, Jerry (Stephanie), Mack, Brianna, Curtis and Aaliyah Dickess, Autumn, Scarlett and Eli Davidson and Johnathan Pancake; a great-grandchild; Pheobe Dickess; two special caregivers Kathy Jenkins and Bertha Bundy and Tim Abrams who was like a son to her.

A private services will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Pancake’s name to Tri-State Industries 606 Carlton-Davidson Lane, Coal Grove, OH 45638. Elmer Arby

Elmer Alfred “Al” Irby, III, 65, of Hartselle, Alabama, died Friday, May 8, 2015, at home. He was a millwright by trade. A memorial-funeral service will be conducted for him and his brother Mike Irby who also died Friday, May 8, 2015. Services will be at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington, at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Survivors include, one daughter, Jaimie Irby Naylor of Hartselle; a son, Michael Irby (Jai Grover Irby) of Idaho; two sisters, Leigh and Walter Christian of South Point, and Suzanne and Merle Toumey of Seattle, Washington; former spouse, Karen Porter Carnohan; and two grandchildren, Savanna Naylor and Landon Naylor. Ray Anderson

Ray O’Neil Anderson, 93, of Frisco, North Carolina, formerly of Lesage, West Virginia, died Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Emogene Dolen Jones Hospice House. Graveside will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenbottom Cemetery, Lesage. Arrangements are under the direction of Hall Funeral Home.
