Just $5 can impact community

At face value, $5 may not seem like that much money, like its impact would be very small.
That just simply isn’t true — especially when it comes to the Ironton Kiwanis Club’s annual Breakfast with Santa.
For the low price of $5 per person, parents and their children can dine on fluffy pancakes, sausage and coffee or milk and get some face time with the jolly bearded man in the red suit.
While it may seem like just another pancake breakfast, each time someone pays that $5, that is just a little more money added to the Kiwanis Club’s coffers to help support its scholarship funds and other local programs that help give back to the community.
This year’s breakfast will be from 9 a.m.-noon on Dec. 6 at the former AEP building on Third Street.
The Christmas season has just barely begun and there will be many activities the whole family can join in to celebrate. Why not add the Kiwanis Breakfast with Santa to your list?
Your $5 donation can help impact the community in a positive way.
