Event highlights OUS’ academic offerings
Ohio University Southern Campus will host its fourth annual “Bobcat Invasion” event at the Ashland Town Center Mall from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5.
During the evening, OUS faculty, staff and students will provide information about more than 30 degree and certificate programs, as well as share unique experiences from their time on the Southern campus. Information tables representing the various educational programs will be on display throughout the mall’s corridors.
As a college partner with the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarships (KEES) program, Ohio University Southern offers tuition discounts in the amount of KEES earned. Additionally, Kentucky residents living in Boyd, Carter, Elliot, Fleming, Greenup, Lawrence, Lewis, Mason and Rowan counties receive in-state tuition rates at Ohio University Southern, as part of a reciprocal agreement between the two states.
“This fun-filled event includes door prizes and giveaways,” Shelly Betz, OUS marketing and public information officer, said. “There will also be a special performance by the Ohio University Southern Community Band.”
Applications for enrollment will be available and accepted for prospective students interested in enrolling for the spring or fall semesters of 2015, with fees waived for anyone who applies during the “Bobcat Invasion.”
Spring classes begin Jan. 12.
