COAL GROVE — At 11 a.m. Saturday the Coal Grove Memorial United Methodist Church is serving free spaghetti, salad and dessert.
“This is the first time we have done this,” Brad Jenkins, pastor, said. “We hope it turns into something we can do once a month.”
The meal will be served until 1 p.m. or until the food is gone, Jenkins said.
“Feeding those who need fed is why we are doing this,” he said. “We are trying to take a proactive outreach approach to hunger in our community.”
Coal Grove Memorial UMC is located at 222 Memorial St.
